Free Life & Career Coaching – No, that’s not a Type-o!

| Posted in Leadership Blog

As seasoned, credentialed coaches, most of us mentor other aspiring coaches as they work to complete their coach training and achieve their coaching certifications such as PCC (Professional Certified Coach), MCC (Master Certified Coach) and BCC (Board Certified Coach). Our Founder, Mickey Parsons is also a part-time professor at Life University’s Coaching Psychology Program where students work to complete a certificate program and/or a coaching focused BS or MS (beginning Fall of 2013) in Psychology. Therefore, we almost always have a student coach (or 10) searching for pro bono client experience. The basic “rules of the road” for free life coaching or free career coaching include the following:

  1. Generally the student coach will provide 3 free coaching sessions to the assigned client/coachee. If coaching continues beyond the three pro bono sessions a fee may be negotiated.
  2. Pro bono clients must be willing to sign a release of information for recording of all free sessions, so students may be graded on their performance; sessions are confidential otherwise.
  3. Coaching about psychological or therapeutic issues such as addiction, abuse or other restorative matters is strictly off-limits.
  4. Pro bono clients must be able to meet with your assigned coach by phone between the hours of 8 am and 8 pm Monday—Friday or at a designated University Campus location in Marietta during normal business hours.
  5. Pro bono clients must be willing to be open to growth, change and creative approaches to problem solving; keeping an open mind throughout the coaching process.

A Coach is a catalyst in the process of accelerating change and makes a difference by helping others reach their potential. Typical life coaching topics include issues relating to money, time, career, quality of life, business or personal success. Contact us by email if you would like to discuss free life coaching or free career coaching with a student coach…or of course traditional (paid) executive coaching, too!
